Voluntario Global Ambassador has used her experience in the communications team to study a Masters of International Humanitarian Action!

What do you do now?

Masters International Humanitarian Action.

How was your experience of coming home after your time at Voluntario Global?

I remember I was excited to go home to see my family and friends, but at the same time I feel as though a huge part of me wanted to come back to Buenos Aires very quickly after returning home. I missed the friends I made, the hostel I stayed in, the city and all the people from Voluntario Global. The experience was crazy and one I still keep looking back on now.

How do you think your experience at Voluntario Global has been useful in your work or studies since leaving Buenos Aires?

It's been very helpful as going into the development sector or even applying to do a master in the development/humanitarian field can be quite difficult without any experience. It was also great because it fit right into my summer as the dates are all up to you as a volunteer (staying as long or short as you want).

Who would you recommend your project to?

Any development student, especially those interested in journalism, videography and photography within the development field.

Pensar el voluntariado como una experiencia colectiva

Siempre decimos que el voluntariado es un proceso de aprendizaje, y un proceso de aprendizaje jamás sucede de manera aislada. Por lo tanto el voluntariado también es una experiencia colectiva.

Volunteering as a collective experience

As we always say, volunteering is a learning process. And a learning process is never isolated. Volunteering is also a collective experience signed by the relation we'll create with the communities we'll work with.
