Eating out Eating out Voluntario Global

Before I ventured to Argentina, I was warned many times how difficult it would be to survive without eating meat; a “succulent” steak being the countries delicacy. So I set myself a challenge of finding the best vegetarian restaurants in the city!

A little tip for all of you veggies out there, it is clearer to new friends or waiters if you say “Soy vegetariano/a”. If you simply say, “No como carne” (I don’t eat meat) it can be confused with only not eating beef.

1. Buenos Aires Verde

This fantastic restaurant offers a variety of different options so that you won’t be leaving hungry. Buenos Aires Verde serves only locally grown and organic foods and even deliver! The signature dishes include a creamy quinoa risotto, vegan pizza & veggie curry.

Address: Gorriti 5657, C1414BKE CABA, Argentina

Opening times: 09:00 - 0:00 (Closed on Sundays)

2.  Kensho

Kensho is individual in the way that it feels as if you are eating at a friends apartment, with low tables and pillows to sit on, it’s an ideal place to relax and eat great food! It specialises in raw and organic food: you can find hummus, tofu and a variety of asian dishes.

Address: Aguirre 1620, 1416ATH CABA

3. Sakris

You can find excellent arabic food here, in addition to vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options. As one of the top-rated restaurants in Palermo, expect it to be bustling and lively. The price isn’t too expensive and you’ll find an English menu here.

Bio was the first organic restaurant in Buenos Aires, offering a bright and calm atmosphere, you will find exquisite and healthy dishes here. Not just mozzarella pizza for the veggies! Beware though, it is considered as more of the more expensive organic restaurants in the city.
