Voluntario Global has had a long standing relationship with the institution, where students partake in volunteering at our projects as part of their service learning subject.

The purpose of the academic institution is to promote cultural tasks, maintain a permanent interest in humanistic, economic and social science issues and acts as a center for teaching the Spanish language. It essentially promotes the academic and cultural link between Spain and Argentina and from there with the rest of Europe and America. From this perspective, it promotes research and teaching and the exchange of teachers and students.

The Foundation offers full semester programs, during which students acquire or improve their Spanish and take courses in Politics, History, Marketing, Literature and Film, Economics and Art. This modality allows them a cultural immersion and an experiential knowledge about the Argentine socioeconomic reality. This is complemented by participation in service learning projects.

Through their study abroad program, the Foundation has received students from many foreign universities: The University of Chicago, University of Minnesota, University of Dallas at Texas, University of Madison-Wisconsin, West Virginia University, Winthrop University, Davidson College, Marquette University, Lebanon Valley College, University of Illinois in Chicago, Sarah Lawrence College, Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico, among others.

Voluntario Global is fortunate to have these students volunteer in the various projects within our network as part of their service learning. Adding to the diversity of volunteers, not only is the practical help we receive from these students beneficial to Voluntario Global, but also the different insights and perspectives they may have.

We spoke with some of the Ortega and Gasset exchange students who recently volunteered with us, to ask a few questions on their experience in Argentina and point of view on the culture.
