Every soft skill requires a deep reflection on ourselves. Learning to learn involves being aware of how and why we acquire, process, and memorize knowledge. Once we understand that, we can analyze and choose the learning method and environment that suits us best.

Learning to learn makes visible the fact that we don’t learn in the same ways, that there are different learning methods, and that we need to respect that.

Why is it important? If we better understand our ways of learning, we can achieve our goals more effectively. To develop learning to learn as a skill, it is necessary to reflect and be part of experiences that allow us to know ourselves even more.

When we set ourselves goals, we must analyze the ways to reach them. This requires a reflection on our ways of learning and acting, along with an understanding of the ways of learning from others. Therefore, we believe it's important to set goals when volunteering.

Understanding more about learning to learn, as well as other soft skills in a volunteer experience, helps us see that volunteering is not a superficial experience. Volunteering immerses us in the need to know ourselves better and to think about others. It also includes developing new skills and being aware of other skills that we may not have known about ourselves.
