CHAPTER 6: VALERIA'S REFLECTIONS

SOLIDARITY CAN ALSO BE A VIRUS

Solidarity is the virus that capitalism fears, it is a very nice phrase that we can all say and understand. But can we implement it? From where? How? Who? SOLIDARITY MUST BE ORGANIZED AND RECONSTRUCTED FROM MANY FOCUSES AND AMONG MANY FOCUSES.
Seeing the inspiring photo that accompanies this text, it occurred to me to ask myself and to add the text to the photo: How do we weave solidarity? I imagine that you weave it by listening and understanding; looking without ignoring; being part of the solutions; denouncing what is unjust; fighting to transform.
KNOWING THIS, IT ONLY REMAINS (NOT AT ALL SIMPLE) TO ORGANIZE OURSELVES IN THE TASKS AND MOVE FORWARD.
I share a paragraph...
Three tasks seem fundamental: "to put the economy at the service of the people", "to unite our peoples on the path of peace and justice" and "to defend Mother Earth" (Santa Cruz de la Sierra, 9.VII.2015, Rome, 5. Pontifical Commission for Latin America, "The irruption of popular movements," p. 31.)
The popular organizations, among other actors, are the ones who sow in the transformation processes and propose alternatives to the structures, attitudes, and actions that this system poses to us.
KNOWING THIS, IT ONLY REMAINS (NOT AT ALL SIMPLE) TO ORGANIZE OURSELVES IN THE TASKS AND MOVE FORWARD.
