As every March 8, we commemorate what happened to the 129 women who died in a fire on March 8, 1908, demanding better working conditions. Today, more than 100 years later, we are still fighting for our rights.

Social Justice Day

Chelsea volunteered as an English teacher for a month in 2016.

I volunteered in March 2017 for 2 weeks. It was the most rewarding experience of my life.

Sonia volunteered a few years ago in Buenos Aires and she decided to be an online volunteer during the pandemic. Get to know more about her story here:

We keep in touch with the organizations in the network to know how they are holding up, how the community is doing, and what challenges they see ahead.

Social isolation keeps us apart, but the network is still active. We are talking with all the local coordinators to see how they are doing and how they see their community nowadays. Listening to the different voices in the network is part of thinking together.

With problems and solutions, virtuality has accelerated with the pandemic and lockdowns around the world. Within volunteering, we have worked virtually mainly in communications and teaching English. Today we want to reflect on and share this experience.
