For the past 14 years we have been renewing our commitment with all the organizations that are part of our Network. Working together with them and, more specifically, being the promoters and coordinators of this Network, imposes on Global Volunteer the challenge of learning how to listen to each organization, their needs, their dreams, their struggles, and the development of strategies to help them solve their problems, understand and use their potential to carry out their social activities in the best way possible.
Beyond the commitment of Voluntario Global with each organization, 2020 has set challenging times for social organizations. But we don't give up. If our schools keep teaching online and our soup kitchens share the few things they have, we owe it to the love and donations of all those who care, who get up in the morning thinking about how to help others, even if they don't have much themselves. How many stories do we hear every day about the ones where, at home, food is scarce and only children get to eat at night? Or the ones where, they need to go out, exposing themselves, to find whatever they can because hunger is fierce and there is nothing to share. Nothing, really.
Now, more than ever, we feel stronger in our vision to connect people in solidarity. After all, we are community builders and solidarity is our main goal.
