On Sunday, March 24th, hundreds of thousands of citizens filled the streets and plazas across Argentina to commemorate the 43rd anniversary of the 1976 coup defeat. Arguably one of, if not, the most important day in Argentina’s history.

One of my final conclusions of my volunteer experience would be that I want to be less stressed when I'm coming back to Australia and just enjoy life more, and do what I love, and get to know different people.

Accompanied by a scarce amount of men and children, the International Women’s Day demonstration or ‘El dia de la mujer’ started from the National Congress at 5pm and proceeded down Avenida de Mayo until it reached Plaza de Mayo in the centre of town.

We rang the bell on the front door of the white façade building. It was our third visit accompanying Tony, one of the volunteer’s from Sweden, to the after school care located in the suburbs of Buenos Aires.
Voluntario Global helps local communities by being available to discuss anything that local organizations need, and offering ideas for further change and development.
